Some breeds (Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs or Staffordshire Bull Terriers) suffer from the juvenile form, in which clinical signs appear within the first year of life. Cataracts cause blurred vision and when the entire lens becomes cloudy, can cause blindness.
French bulldog is one of the world's most popular small-dog breed, especially among city dwellers. He has a happy, stable, easy going nature, does not need to be encouraged to play and loves to cuddle. As a very friendly and sociable dog, Frenchie is especially suited to a family with children, with whom he gets along well. He is also a good companion for pensioners and less active people, if they are willing to take care of him a bit. French bulldogs don't bark much but their alertness makes them excellent watchdogs.
