French bulldog is one of the world's most popular small-dog breed, especially among city dwellers. He has a happy, stable, easy going nature, does not need to be encouraged to play and loves to cuddle. As a very friendly and sociable dog, Frenchie is especially suited to a family with children, with whom he gets along well. He is also a good companion for pensioners and less active people, if they are willing to take care of him a bit. French bulldogs don't bark much but their alertness makes them excellent watchdogs.
